We are looking for dancers for an upcoming dance theatre production called Leaf in the whirlwind by director choreographer Aparna Sindhoor. www.navarasa.org

Note: Rehearsals will begin mid September and include one week of stretching (warm-up) and training with Aparna Sindhoor. Please note that warm-up sessions will begin one week prior to the rehearsals.

Audition Guidelines:

• Good experience in Bharatanatyam, or any other Indian classical dance/ non Indian dance style.
• Dancers must bring their own music (on tape or cd)
• Prepare a 5 – 10 min dance piece that showcases
  1. A rhythmic section
  2. Segments of abhinaya (for all Indian classical dancers)
  3. A slow segment demonstrating grace (for non-Indian dance styles)
• If you can sing, (not mandatory) prepare a small song about 2 min. long Submit your CV/Bio and photographs in advance to…
• Training in acting an asset
